Drones teaching Angola to fly higher
The KialaDrone Project turns drones into flying laboratories, teaching mathematics, physics, programming, artificial intelligence and robotics in an integrated, hands-on way.
What is the KialaDrone Project
The KialaDrone Project is an educational programme that uses drones as flying laboratories to teach multiple subjects in an integrated way, aimed at secondary schools, higher institutes and universities in Angola.
Methodology
The KialaDrone Project is available to secondary schools, higher institutes and universities to establish partnerships for training sessions, workshops, courses, demonstrations and laboratory activities using educational drones.
The KialaDrone Project favours a methodology based on hands-on activities. Each session may include:
-
1
Theoretical presentation
-
2
Practical demonstrations
-
3
Drone programming
-
4
Flight mission execution
-
5
Solving technological challenges
-
6
Teamwork
-
7
Results evaluation
Students learn by doing, experimenting and programming.
Learning by doing
Students learn by experimenting and programming, not just listening to theory.
Real technology
DJI Ryze Tello and Parrot Mambo educational drones, programming in Python and DroneBlocks.
Preparing the future
Skills in AI, robotics and programming, aligned with the professions of the future.
Why now
Being a pioneer has value. Institutions that adopt the KialaDrone Project today stand out from other institutions, enhance their institutional image and prepare their students ahead of the competition for the demands of Angola's digital society.
